About Me

Jennifer Lizza is a wife, mom, writer, runner, sleep enthusiast, and blogger at Outsmarted Mommy. Her two boys outsmart her daily, although in her defense it could be the lack of sleep. When she’s not cracking people up on Twitter she can be found making them cry with her sentimental writing online. Her work has been featured on the TODAY ShowTODAY ParentsThe Huffington PostScary Mommy Love What Matters as well as several other parenting sites. In February of 2020, Jennifer shared her story of miscarriage and loss for a the TODAY Show series, Miscarriage Matters. It remains some of her proudest work. Her relatable parenting tweets are featured in the two book series, The Big and Bigger Book of Parenting Tweets. She was also featured in the hilarious book, I Just Want to Be Perfect, the fourth book in the New York Times bestselling I Just Want to Pee Alone series. Her kids are not the least bit impressed; they just want to know what’s for dinner. Jennifer and her firefighting husband call New Jersey home and when she is not writing, running, or daydreaming about a nap you can often find her with a big cup of coffee watching her boys on a baseball field.
